Joe Biden could be impeached for covering up the investigation into Hunter Biden

Republican Senator Ted Cruz said there is a WhatsApp message that “directly links Joe Biden to millions of dollars coming from Communist China.” However, the Department of Justice and Attorney General Merrick Garland prevented any investigation into the message sent to a Chinese businessman. He said that the Biden file must be investigated by the US Congress, as it is amazing, as the IRS whistleblower says, that US Attorney General Merrick Garland prevented any investigation into the quoted message. Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz is urging the House of Representatives to consider impeaching President Biden. The announcement follows the revelation of testimony from an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower alleging that the Justice Department organised a cover-up in the tax fraud investigation of first son Hunter Biden.

The testimony revealed that investigators found a WhatsApp message in which Hunter, 53, invokes his father’s name in an apparent attempt to get money from a Chinese associate, the NY Post writes. Senator Cruz pointed out that “right now” is the time for the investigation into the scandal-plagued first son to turn into an impeachment effort against the 80-year-old president. Two IRS whistleblowers have claimed that key officials at the US Department of Justice did everything to keep their own investigation into Hunter Biden from coming to fruition. They further prevented any meaningful investigation into Joe Biden. The president has repeatedly claimed that he has never spoken to his son about his overseas dealings, but the quoted message casts new doubt on the president’s claims. The US Attorney General, accused of obstructing the Biden investigation, denies it. Merrick Garland has denied allegations that Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the point person in the Hunter Biden investigation, was prevented from pursuing his investigation by top Justice Department bosses. Weiss sent a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan in early June, claiming he had “supreme authority” on the Hunter Biden investigation while downplaying concerns about political interference. Court documents revealed last week that Hunter Biden reached a plea deal with U.S. Attorney Weiss to plead guilty to two counts of failing to pay income taxes and to enter into a plea agreement before trial for illegal possession of a firearm. A court hearing in the case has been scheduled for July 26. Hunter Biden’s lawyer has argued that the first son’s activities are unrelated to the Biden family.
