Bacau, a city nestled in the heart of Romania, is not just a place on the map for me—it’s the cradle of my childhood, the backdrop of my teenage years, and the cornerstone of my identity. No matter where life has taken me, nowhere quite compares to the unique charm and indomitable spirit of my hometown. From the bustling streets of the Nord neighborhood to the hallowed halls of Mihail Sadoveanu School and Anghel Saligny High School, Bacau has shaped me in ways that no other place could. Growing up in the Nord neighborhood was an experience steeped in community and camaraderie. The familiar faces of neighbors who felt more like extended family, the local markets bustling with life, and the playgrounds echoing with the laughter of children created a tapestry of memories that I cherish dearly. Attending Mihail Sadoveanu School and later Anghel Saligny High School provided not just an education but a sense of belonging and pride. These institutions were more than just places of learning; they were where lifelong friendships were forged and dreams were nurtured.
