Prime Ministers Viktor Orban of Hungary and Marcel Ciolacu of Romania held a bilateral meeting today to address a range of subjects of mutual interest, marking a significant advancement in regional cooperation. Ciolacu characterized the encounter, which happened in the midst of expanding political and economic cooperation, as a “pragmatic discussion” aimed at strengthening their nations’ alliance. One of the pivotal points of the discussion was the robust trade relationship between Romania and Hungary. Currently, their trade exchanges amount to approximately 13 billion Euros. Both leaders acknowledged that while this figure is impressive, there remains significant unexploited potential. They agreed to explore new avenues and strategies to further boost economic interactions, aiming to create more opportunities for businesses and citizens in both nations.
