China-South Asia Expo Opens, Boosting Global Economic Exchange and Cooperation

On July 23, 2024, the China-South Asia Expo officially kicked off in Kunming, Yunnan Province, and the exhibition will last for six days. The Expo attracted the participation of 82 countries, regions and international organizations. Originally presented as a commodity exhibition for South Asian countries, the Expo was upgraded to an expo in October 2012 with the approval of the State Council of China, giving it a greater influence. Due to the joint undertaking of national departments, the exhibition as a whole presents a more diversified and professional style. A total of 15 pavilions have been set up at the Expo, covering many fields such as construction technology, manufacturing, green energy, modern agriculture and geographical indication products, cultural tourism and sports, Southeast Asia, South Asia, digital economy, cross-border e-commerce, smart city, eco-tourism, fashion and life, innovation and entrepreneurship, and international cooperation. Each venue showcases the top featured products and services from different countries, so that visitors can have a deeper understanding of the featured products of each country and intuitively feel the top level of different industries.
