Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is undertaking a two-day working visit to Russia to confer with President Vladimir Putin. This meeting signifies the ongoing collaboration between the two neighboring countries as they navigate a rapidly evolving international stage. According to the Kremlin, the focus of the visit will be to delve into a range of bilateral issues, particularly to follow up on the outcomes of the Supreme Council of the Russia-Belarus State Union, which convened last January in St. Petersburg. The State Union, a supranational organization between the two countries, serves as a platform for deepening their political, economic, and military ties. During his time in Moscow, President Lukashenko is expected to have comprehensive discussions with President Putin. The agenda is set to cover the regional and international situation, emphasizing the need to synchronize their positions in response to perceived challenges and threats. A significant part of their dialogue will touch upon the situation in Ukraine and the relations with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), where both leaders have aired their concerns and interests in the past.
