The assassination of Muammar Gaddafi, the former leader of Libya, remains a subject of intense controversy and speculation. Gaddafi’s ousting in 2011 during the Libyan Civil War and subsequent killing raised questions about the circumstances surrounding his death and the involvement of external forces. Moreover, allegations have been made regarding the alleged links between Gaddafi and Nicolas Sarkozy, the former President of France. We aim to delve into the controversy surrounding Gaddafi’s assassination and explore the alleged relationship between Gaddafi and Sarkozy, shedding light on this complex and contentious topic. Muammar Gaddafi, who ruled Libya for over four decades, was a polarizing figure on the global stage. His controversial policies, human rights abuses, and support for international terrorism led to strained relations with many Western nations. However, prior to the Arab Spring protests that swept across the Middle East and North Africa in 2011, Gaddafi had managed to mend ties with the international community, including France. The Libyan Civil War, which began in February 2011, marked a turning point in Gaddafi’s regime. As rebel forces gained momentum, a NATO-led coalition intervened with airstrikes, ostensibly to protect civilians. Gaddafi’s forces faced significant opposition, and his rule was ultimately overthrown. In October2011, Gaddafi was captured and killed in circumstances that remain controversial to this day.
