French President Emmanuel Macron has boldly demanded an immediate stop to military supplies to Israel, highlighting France’s position on the current violence in the Middle East. In his remarks on France Inter, Macron underlined how urgently the region’s unrest must be resolved politically. Macron said, “I think today, the priority is to get back to a political solution, to stop shipping weapons to fight in Gaza,” which clarified that France does not provide Israel with weapons. The call comes at a time when tensions have reached a fever pitch. Israel has recently launched coordinated attacks against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, leading to the displacement of more than 1.5 million civilians. This military escalation follows a devastating 10-month Israeli campaign in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in over 20,000 casualties, including many women and children. The humanitarian crisis has sparked international concern and debate over the ongoing arms trade fueling the conflict.
