Oman, the Sultanate of Oman, is located southeast of the Arabian Peninsula in southwest Asia and borders the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf, the world’s most important oil export route. The coastline is 1700 kilometers long, most of the territory is 200 to 500 meters above sea level of the plateau, the northeast of the Hajar Mountains, the main peak of the Sham Mountain 3,352 meters above sea level, the highest peak in the country.
